Question 1: What 5 steps will we use everytime we want to analyze the impact of chemistry on society?

Question 2: In this course we will look at three problems that society has solved but has resulted in some negative consequences. What are those three problems society has solved that the syllabus lists?

Question 3: Relate one incident where you solved a problem, but your solution caused one or more other problems. (It doesn't need to be chemistry related)

Question 4: Below is a question from the syllabus:

"For example, we all know cars pollute, but cars solve the problem of getting to where we want to go. Therefore, how many of us have given up our car and are walking just because we know cars pollute?"

Have you or do you know someone that has given up their automobile to reduce pollution?

Question 5a: When you email your quiz answers to your instructor, how do you know if your instruction really received your quiz?

Question 5b: How do you know what grade you got on the quiz?

Question 6: In the syllabus I made the statement that Chemistry was like the Magician and Society was like the Audience. What did I say was wrong about being an audience?
I'd like to say that by taking this course over the Internet, your contribution to pollution is very small (a little electricity). Online learning causes much less pollution compared to driving a car back and forth to the college campus.
